Joey Votto is the new face of the Reds.

Votto made it to the all-star game, but he wasnt impressed with Marlon Byrd. He said that he dont like the Cubs. Thats the no apologies kind of guy we need as team captain. He could lead our new look club of youngsters for years to come. He is our spark plug. If we keep that kind of attitude we will be in for a good ride, hopefully ending in a world series championship, which is very possible.

So far so good

The 2010 Reds may be the best ohio team this entire year, so take it all in while you can. They are very similar to the world series team in1990. In case you missed it yesterday Wood took a perfect game all the way to the ninth inning. We have a perrenial MVP candidate with Votto, Brandon Phillips is a very solid middle infielder a la Barry Larkin. I expect to see great things out of this team for years to come. So keep rootin em on, besides who else ya goin to root for?

We will suport gilbert.

We need to embrace dan gilbert. He is the only one concerned with the cavs future not lebron lebrick quitter james. He means nothing to clevelands greatness. He is a sell out quitter who is too lazy to win a ring alone like jordan and kobe. Lets root for real players like our working class cavs, kobe and durant. Lebron is no longer welcome here, even to live here in his mansion bought by the cavs players blood sweat and tears they r the real victim not queen james.

Less than 24 hours to go, whadda ya think?

Well, theres less than 24 hours to go till we find out where LeBron James will be playing next year. I dont really have any clue where I personally feel he wil end up. Hopefully he wil stay in Cleveland, but Miami just agreed to sign Chris Bosh. That will probably be a big factor in James' thought process. On the other hand Chicago agreed to sign Boozer, and NY has Amare. I hope the Cavs can do something big to convince James to stay. I mean if we lose him who do we really have? We would be like the Bucks, or even worse the Pacers, a very boring starless team, with no reason to watch basketball. That is atleast till LeBron Jr. turns 18, so lets keep our fingers crossed that James will find it in his heart to stay... Find out tomorrow at 9p.m. on ESPN.

Dont leave us LeBron!

You can consider this my plea for LeBron James to stay in Cleveland. For the sake of professional sports in ohio, he must stay. As a cincinnatian the only professional basketball team we can call our own is the Cavs, which has been a great thing for the past seven years. I still remember the pain of having to root for a team who's best player was Ricky Davis. Then came the 2003 NBA draft. Cleveland sports would never be the same. We finally got our king. King James. Basketball actually matters now, but it feels as if it could all be stolen away by some big city slickster. I just hope the King of Cleveland won't fall for it. We have to do whatever it takes to keep him, or basketball as we know it in ohio will be gone forever!

My introduction to sports.

Hello there, my name is Tim, and i will be the Lebron James of Ohio sports blogs from this day forward. Let me start by giving you a little background on why I am absolutley facinated with Ohio's sports teams. I was born near Cincinnati in 1981, and i lived with my grandparents. My grandpa got me interested in baseball at a very early age, and we would go out back and play catch, and go to Reds games, also I think we watched every televised Reds game and radio brodcasts. I can remember going to Riverfront Stadium to see the Reds vs. Cardinals (yuk!) when i was about 6. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my short life up to that point. I was convinced that nothing else in my years ahead would come close to that experience, you never forget your first time going to a game. However, it would not be my last by any means. I have spent the last 23 years of my life going back to those stadiums for any concievable reason I can come up with. This blog will be my outlet to glamourize the sports teams that have made my life so enjoyable, and hopfully my enthusiasim will draw all of you in as well.
